About Lodi

Lodi is unique in terms of microclimate within the massive Central Valley area, which enables it to produce far higher quality wines than the majority of the region. Located close to the estuary of the San Joaquim delta, where the 2 largest rivers join, and also benefitting from the rivers flowing down from the Sierra Nevada, it has a far more temperate climate than most of the Central Valley vineyards. This is further emphasized by the fact that it lies directly east of the San Francisco Bay and is not protected by the Californian coastal mountains, unlike most of the region.

Zinfandel is king here, with its natural rich, velvety ripeness tempered and enhanced by the ideal growing conditions.
