Wine BODEGAS VEGA SICILIA - This Macán saw a new plot vinification with the introduction of a new winery. The Tempranillo comes from selected vineyards on 92 hectares fermented in wooden vats and aged in 4,000 liter barrels (50% new wood) for around 16 months and has been bottled for three years before being marketed. The desired style is perfectly achieved, it is a wine with density and freshness. 2016 was the first year in which the wine was vinified and aged from start to finish in the new cellar, which would have made it possible to better control the fermentation. The estate is trying to obtain wines with more tension and less power and oakiness than at the beginning.
