Everyone has heard of Argentinian Malbec, but Bonarda could be Mendoza's secret weapon. It is Argentina's third most planted grape variety, and whilst it is regularly enjoyed by locals, it has yet to find fame on the world stage. It's a lively red variety that is supple, soft and packed with sweet red berry fruit that makes for some excellent easy drinking. To help with the balance, there is 10% of Uco Valley Malbec added to the tank with the Bonarda, which offers up some darker fruits and a little more body. We recommend giving it 30 minutes in the fridge to emphasise the fruit if you’re feeling adventurous.
