75cl / 43% - A beautiful example of old Yellow Chartreuse. Introduced in 1840, this lighter alternative to the original Green Chartreuse is sweetened with honey – as opposed to sugar – and coloured with saffron. This particular expression was produced during the mid-20th century in Voiron. At that time, the distillery favoured quite plain labelling and etched glass that paid homage to the livery used in the late-19th century. Even in those days, this iconic liqueur traded on its heritage.
