Jim Beam Whisky

Founded in 1795 as “Old Jake Beam Sour Mash”, Jim Beam boasts its product as “The World’s #1 Bourbon” – a bold claim, but with over 500,000 barrels being produced annually and 13 varieties of its whisky on sale globally they may very well be right. Like other bourbons, Jim Beam is made with a unique mixture of corn, rye and malted barley, in Beam’s case the mixture must be at least 51% corn. Then the water is added before the yeast and second distillation and the mixture is then barrelled in Char Oak casks for four years to ensure the smoothest of bourbons upon tasting.
