WIN FREE CHAMPAGNE
The late Greg Trott, winemaker at Wirra Wirra, named this wine after one of the original vineyard blocks from which the blend was made in 1972. Originally a Grenache and Shiraz blend, the wine has evolved over the years into this Cabernet-biased Aussie hybrid. An aromatic nose, full of cedar, aniseed, clove and leaf notes. Bright plum, bramble and cherry fruit characterise the plush and juicy palate, supported by smooth-textured tannins. Enjoy immediately or cellar for up to 8 years. Serve with fillet steak.

A fantastic wine. Deep and rich but very smooth

This used to be a brilliant wine for a reasonable price for absolute yonks. I bought 6 bottles recently and it was '£4 a bottle' standard. I sent it back but the replacement was not much better. What happened? Bad storage or transport? Counterfeit wine?
