About Warre's Quinta da Cavadinha Vintage Port

Awards

IWSC Gold 2017

Product: Quinta da Cavadinha Vintage Port 2004

Award: IWSC 2017 - Gold

Tasting notes:
"Opaque purple in colour. A lively and youthful nose is bursting with primary, attractive dark fruit aromas including bramble jelly and pronounced blackcurrant along with menthol and chocolate notes. Full-bodied, fruit-driven and incredibly rich on the palate, youthful dark fruit again comes to the fore, this time with whispers of liquorice, graphite and vanilla. Dense and structured, with balanced tannins and a youthful vinosity. Long on the finish. Whilst drinking well now, this wine has great potential to age gracefully."

IWSC Silver Outstanding 2016

Product: Warre's Quinta da Cavadinha 2001

Award: IWSC 2016 - Silver Outstanding

Tasting notes:
"Deep saturated opaque red colour. Lifted floral aromas of wiolets and roses, followed by black cherry, loganberry and cassis. Cinnamon and allspice are intriguing elements. The palate is dense, bright and vivicious with a depth and quality that is remarkable. Frimly tannic and very pure on the finish."
