Domaine Denis Carré are the underdogs of Savigny-les-Beaune. By slowly accumulating vineyards all over Burgundy, they are rising in popularity by focusing on the vineyard and create wines that are a direct reflection of the vine. It is within this bottle that they have used their best old vines, ranging from 50-75 years old, to create a wine with exceptional concentration and complexity. With base notes of savoury spice becoming more pronounced on the palate followed by lashings of red fruit and juicy tannin, it is a great example of what is on offer from the old vines of Burgundy.
