Sacchetto Janus Pinot Grigio Veneto
The Italians, up in the north Veneto region north of Venice, make lovely crisp fresh wines to refresh on a hot day, and provide a crisp, lemony citrus, marriage with fish and salads with a good olive oil dressing.
You will know of the fizz Prosecco from the region. A good Prosecco producer called Paola Saccheto, also produces a clean fresh Pinot Grigio, called Janus. The 2020 vintage is a light fresh bright wine with some green apple, citrus and white flower aromas. Perfect as a standby in the fridge, either just to drink while cooking, or as a refreshing partner to some grilled fish or salads.
This is the ideal wine to refresh on a hot day.
