The 2019 Coonawarra Cabernet is supplied from the Wetherall vineyards located in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region. Supplied from the Thomas Vineyard and the Harrison Vineyard both named after Michael and Michelle Weatherall’s children. The sites are located in the northern end of the region and are traditionally some of the earlier ripening blocks with low yields and excellent concentration. While yields were moderate, the slow, cool ripening was even, providing fruit with fine tannins and strong varietal flavors.
