Mirabeau La Folie Tasting Notes by Wine Expert, David Andrews, DipWSET
This is a gorgeous, delicate pink with a lively stream of bubbles. A strong whiff of pineapple on the nose is backed up by that red berry wall you expect from most good Roses. Some melon and peach notes tie up the rest of the more tropical flavours. The most striking feature is the wonderfully smooth mousse giving a creamy moutfeel. It keeps giving with each sip! The usual suspects of raspberry and strawberry are enhanced by this richness, but again, I can't help but pick out tropical fruit as well. Melon, peach and even banana this time. Nectarine and lemon zest provide a good back up and a little bitter grapefruit note adds a dash of complexity.
