Wine ALVAREZ DE TOLEDO - A beautiful expression of the Mencia variety - the emblematic cultivar from the Bierzo area - from a domaine that's been family-run since the 15th century. The 60- to 80-year-old vines grow in the most traditional production area of Bierzo at an altitude of between 420 and 500 metres above sea level. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 10 months. The time it spends in barrel accentuates its qualities, bringing it subtleness, elegance and complexity. This vintage offers intense fruit aromas of strawberry, blackberry and blueberry with gentle notes of smoke and toast. On the palate, the attack is as fruity and velvety as you'd like. The finish is very long with lovely herbaceous, spiced notes. A really lovely wine at a very reasonable price that'll wow your dinner guests.
