For most rosé wines, drinking them as early in the vintage is a must, but it’s not a rule to which we always need to adhere. This single-vineyard release is proof, and although delicious right now, it will develop and mature over the next 12 to 18 months and provide some top-class drinking. The grapes come from the Paeroa vineyard in the McLaren Vale, tucked in the foothills of the escarpment that runs away from Willunga. With lean soils and persistent wind, the yields are naturally low and the grapes full of character.
