Le Chai winemaker Mark Hoddy was also Buyer for Loire wines for a time. Maybe that's what inspired him to champion the Chenin Blanc grape. However, true to the rebellious nature of Le Chai, he sourced the grapes from the south of France, rather than where you might expect. In fact, there's more logic to it than that. In the Loire, this variety produces terrific whites - from simple Anjou to Saumur and Savennières - but it's also native to the cool, high altitude Limoux vineyards. Mark is very familiar with growers there, knows where the best fruit hangs out and in 2015, he teamed up with Champenois Bruno Bouche, who has vineyards in Limoux now, too. Crafted in the cool Le Chai cellar, this is a vibrant, lemony white. Serve with fish pie.. Drink By Date - 31/12/2018. Allergens - Sulphites. Alcohol Units: 10.125
