Pilot Alan Bean flew to the Moon onboard Apollo 12 stepping onto the lunar surface of the 19th November 1969. In a tribute to his Scottish Ancestry, Alan Bean carried a swatch of Clan MacBean tartan with him during the mission which he would bring back to Earth. What better way to celebrate this remarkable story than by raising a dram.
The original Clan MacBean tartan swatch is on display on the V&A design museum in Dundee as part of the Tartan exhibition.
