Honey Drop Chardonnay Tasting Notes by Wine Expert, David Andrews, DipWSET
The name and literal colour tell you exactly what to expect. Honey of course. On the nose it displayed lots of stone fruit, almond and butterscotch - think Angel Delight. I even got a bit of marshmallow too. There is somewhat more butterscotch power on the palate. A good dollop of fluffy cream, vanilla and coconut come out from the generous oak usage, as does the toasty finish. Rich, fresh, powerful and ultimately tasty.
