Wine VIÑA VENTISQUERO TARA - Ventisquero is one of the best producers in Chile and has one of the most modern wineries in the world. The Grey collection was made with the assistance of well-known Chilean and foreign wine makers. The Grey Chardonnay wine comes from the Casablanca Valley. The grapes are harvested by hand and originate from a single vineyard called Tapihue. Temperatures were mild, meaning that the grapes ripened slowly and the wines are well-balanced, fresh and aromatic. 80% of the wine was fermented in French oak barrels, of which 10% were new. The remaining 20% was fermented in vats to retain the fruity character of the wine. Then, the wine was aged on the lees for 12 months to increase the freshness and aromatic complexity of the wine. The nose is elegant and complex with strong aromas of exotic fruit, such as papaya, mango and pineapple. Then rounded off by gentle notes of vanilla and dry fruit generated by the ageing in French oak. The palate follows the nose's lead with delicious freshness and smooth softness.
