Bourgueil is a small but qualitatively important red wine appellation in the Loire Valley. Our Bourgueil is produced by Francois Audebert who produces silky medium bodied red wine from the Cabernet Franc grape. The vineyards are situated on calcareous clay and sandy soil that gently incline south towards the river Loire. The wine is beautifully medium bodied with fresh red currant and raspberry fruit and with a smoky silky texture on the finish. This wine can be served can be served with red meat, poultry or (chilled) with fish. Please note that the case discount promotion cannot be applied to this line.
