East Anglia may not be the first place you think of for premium English wines but Norfolk, one of the driest and sunniest regions in the UK, is perfect for vines. That is why winemaker Ben Witchell has been passionately cultivating Flint Vineyard over the past decade. Launched in spring 2024, Flint Vineyard Charmat follows the success of his Charmat Rosé. This unique wine blends sustainably grown, aromatic varieties (Solaris, Bacchus, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir) that require minimal intervention in the vineyards. Made using the Prosecco-style Charmat method, it creates a dry, fruit-driven sparkling wine that Prosecco fans keen to support local producers will adore.
