With their fruit purity and naturally vibrant flavours, Chilean wines are hard to beat. And one of the country's leading small producers is the family-run Luis Felipe Edwards estate, where this hugely popular Chardonnay hails from. Chardonnay vines are planted vines high in the hills (up to 1000m above sea level) where long, warm summers and cool mountain nights produce grapes rich in flavour yet retaining a refreshing crispness. To make the most of these natural advantages, they've built a lavish, high-tech winery where winemaker, Patricia Gonzalez, created this cool-fermented unoaked Chardonnay. Golden, fresh and brimming over with attractive pineapple, citrus, melon and peach flavours. Ideal with grilled fish or delicately spicy shrimps.
