Chateau Troplong Mondot is a magnificent property, situated high up on Saint-Emilion's limestone plateau. Its wines have gone from strength to strength since the mid-1980s (and just recently the 2006 Saint-Emilion classification saw the promotion of the estate to Premier Grand Cru Classe). At around this time, the chateau's dedicated proprietor, Christine Valette, began assuming more control, and to ensure success, the renowned oenologist Michel Rolland was brought in as consultant winemaker. The 2006 has received great praise and will give any Bordeaux lover great pleasure over many years.
