Wine Château Sansonnet - Château Sansonnet comes from a tiny vineyard of 7 hectares bought by Marie and Christophe Lefévère at the beginning of 2009. The vineyard itself is 35 years old and has a fine layer of clay over the Saint-Émilion limestone plateau. This vintage is a blend of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, which represents 65% of their total production. It undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels - 80% are new oak. Revealing a dark violet colour and a nose of pure creme de cassis, graphite, crushed violets, bouquet garni and chocolate as well as a hint of chalky minerality. This wine offers a remarkable purity, a rich full body, silky tannins and a flawless balance. A wine that develops slowly as it airs in the glass, giving experts a mixture of richness, elegance and length. A must!
