Wine CHÂTEAU MUSAR - Château Musar White is a barrel-aged white wine made from the indigenous Obaideh (related to Chardonnay) and Merwah (related to Sémillon) grapes grown in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Originating in the Bake Valley, the Obaideh vines are located at the foot of the hill on rocky, chalky soils while the Merwah vines are planted on the hillside on gravelly, chalky soils at an altitude of 1,400 metres. Traditional farming is practiced here, with very low yields but high quality. In the cellar, the white grapes ferment in oak barrels from the Nevers forest where they rest for 9 months. Once the wine is finished, it is bottled and stored in the cellar. It is marketed 7 years after its harvest. Château Musar White is a Lebanese style wine that serves as an international reference. It is a mature white wine with intense aromas of ripe white fruit, citrus and dried fruit. On the palate, it is creamy, rich and dry with seductive nuances and a long, lingering finish.
