The Princes Blanc de Blancs is the pinnacle of Champagne de Venoge’s range, a treat for the senses of sight, taste, and smell. It opens with refined notes of minerality, white flowers, and lemon oil, expanding into hints of brioche and almond, all of which are contained within a wholly unique bottle. It is made from 100% Chardonnay, harvested from Premier and Grand crus in Mesnil sur Oger and Trépail.
De Venoge was founded in 1837 by Henri-Marc, a vintner from Switzerland who made the move to Champagne 12 years earlier. Located in Epernay in the heart of Champagne, the house has become a mainstay of the region. Its wines are exported to 40 countries across the world, and are renowned for their collectability, quality, and their reasonable price.
On the palate, this wine’s operative words are crisp and fresh. It has a dry mouthfeel, due to its 6g/l dosage. You can discover rich flavours of lemon, green apple, and pear in the mouth, followed by a long and mineral-laden finish. Princes Blanc de Blancs is a striking wine, made for special occasions. It will make a beautiful pairing with oysters, caviar, and light seafood dishes.
