The Cabrida takes pride of place in every wine cellar in the small village of Capçanes. Practically all of the inhabitants of this Catalonian village work with the winery in some way, so all are more than familiar with the Capçanes range, from bottom to top. And Cabrida sits right at the top. It's made with the best Garnacha available, vines of between 60 and 110 years of age that yield very little quantity but the absolute pinnacle of quality. Decadent and saturated plum and cherry with complex herbal and floral aromatics. The palate is toasty and structured yet pure and fresh. A gorgeous match to richly flavoured roasted meats, and a superb ability to age for 15 years plus.
