Excellent champagne at the price - one of the most popular in France itself.

Canard Duchene is a fabulous champagne and Majestic's price is highly competitive. In the 80s 90% of Canard Duchene was actually drunk in France. It is a Grande Maison in its own right but is perhaps less well known in the UK. Nevertheless, it matches the quality of many of the recognised Grandes Maison and is a true Brut, dry yet with fruit, a little "biscuit" and fine bubbles. My favourite non-vintage since the late 70s it has maintained its quality ever since. Highly recommended
