Wine Domenico Clerico - The Ciabot Mentin vineyard is located in the heart of the Ginestra cru and reflects the upper area of the hill, with vines planted at 410 metres above sea level. This vineyard was established in 1978. Like the other great wines of the area, it ages both in barrels (for eight months) and casks, large wooden containers (for one year), and the overall oak footprint is reduced compared to previous vintages. This is a great Nebiollo that expresses a great bouquet based on faded rose, mineral, and fresh spice. The wood is perfectly blended in this complex and classy bouquet. The palate is fine and expresses a refinement worthy of the greatest Burgundy vintages. The tannins give way to a formidable persistence you will not soon forget.
