This fabulously affordable French fizz comes, not from Champagne, but from the Loire Valley. Yet there are a lot of similarities with its highbrow cousin. Both are made from a Chardonnay blend, use the same winemaking technique (known as the Traditional Method), and are aged a long time before release to give some depth and richness to the wine. So what you get from B Francois Sparkling NV is a very similar wine that is kinder to your wallet. We think this is better than many entry level Champagnes, with its charming aromas of apple and freshly baked biscuits which carry through to the palate and culminate in an elegant, dry finish.
