Arabella Chardonnay has that New World kick on the flavour profile but combined with a touch of old World restraint and refinement. In other words, it is a fantastic balance of full on flavour and oak with carefully selected and vinified grapes.
The citrus led nose has an undertone of buttery oak. On the palate, this oak comes out even more, giving vanilla and butterscotch notes. However, I did say it was restrained, and it is done so by the citrus fruits and saline finish which harmonise wonderfully well with the bolder flavours. Just check out the numerous awards throughout vintages and you can see why I am so keen on this.
