The Aleksandrovic family winery has a long winemaking tradition. The great-grandfather of the current owners, Milos Aleksandrovic, participated in the founding of the Vinca winemaking cooperative in 1903.
Trijumf is a historic wine, famous in European courts before the Second World War. The recipe was revived by Života and Aleksandar Aleksandrovic in 1992, with the help of the old cellar master Živan Tadic. The blend includes a majority of Sauvignon Blanc with small additions of Pinot Blanc and Riesling. The grapes are selected from the vineyards of Oplenac in the Šumadija-Great Moravia region located at an altitude of about 250 m - 350 m with exposure to the south and south-east. After manual harvesting, and fermentation in steel, the wine rests for about 6 months in steel.
In the glass, the wine reveals an olive-yellow color, with light green reflections. Its aromatic profile is intensely fruity with notes of gooseberry and tropical fruit, grapefruit, and jasmine flowers, and finally some hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it has a creamy texture and an elegant character. It is mineral and balanced, with a good fruit concentration and a perfectly integrated acidic vein. The finish is long and slightly citrusy. It is an excellent match with seafood and fish, and a must-try with lemon chicken.
