The year 2016 saw torrid heat, record drought and wild fires but that did not stop Bon Courage, one of Robertson's most highly acclaimed wineries, making another Gooseberry Bush full of brilliant lemony zip. Nestled between the Breede River and the Langeberg Mountains, Bon Courage has been run by the Bruwer family since 1921. Each year they win accolades aplenty, including 'Best Producer' at the 2013 Novare SA Terroir Wine Awards. Previously their 2009 Gooseberry Bush secured a 'Best White Blend' Trophy, and each vintage since has been pretty remarkable too. This one's a little richer than usual but just as fresh thanks to grassy, kiwi fruit Colombard and a dash of lemony Sauvignon. A great party white or partner to spicy stir-fry or salad..
