The grapes are sourced from clay and limestone vineyards located throughout the Côte de Nuits, including Marsannay, Côtes de Nuits Villages, and oldest vines in Premeaux-Prissey. The name of the cuvée refers to the latitude of the Burgundy Cote d’Or region.
This is both a serious wine and a serious value for Bourgogne Rouge. The pedigree of fruit shows clearly, with a deep, intense core of blue and blackberry fruits from the Premeaux-Prissey side, while the Marsannay and other components produce a vivid core of earth, forest floor, and spices. Lots of acidity keeps the wine very fresh, yet this is also a soft, easy-drinking Bourgogne Rouge, perfect for more youthful enjoyment.
