The Dix de Los Vascos was first released in 1996 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Baron Eric de Rothschild's work in Chile. The exceptional quality of some parcels of grapes inspired the Baron to create an outstanding red wine - a serious claret contender - to be made in tiny quantities (around 300 cases) depending on the concentration and the finesse of the vintage (for example, there was no 'Le Dix' in 1998). Deep and intense purple colour with ripe berry bouquet; it has elegant pencil shavings lingering on the nose. It also has harmonious tannins, delicious fruit and a classic structure to age.
