Tasting notes: Well toasted almonds, pine nuts and a hint of honey, there is sweet toffee pop corn in the nose, too with just the slightest hint of spice. On the palate this develops well into bold grain notes, some delicate sea salt, oils and fruits. There is just a hint of toasted oak casks on the palate (burning ember a long, long way away) and pineapple.
A medium priced but a quality and reputable Scotch and one for enjoying on your own but much better to share. A well tried and tested blend it has quite a smoky oak full on flavour. The blend has a touch of honey and winter spice so perfect for warming you up when the nights draw in and temperatures drop. A perfect autumn purchase. Review by Hugh Hill, 15/09/2014. Rating: 5/5
