Prosecco is the name of both the grape and one of Italys best-loved sparkling wines. The Zucchetto family cultivate 5ha of Prosecco vineyards in the heart of the DOCG near the town of Valdobbiadene. Here the river Plave has carved steep slopes in the foothills of the Dolomites and created the perfect conditions in which to produce aromatic sparkling wines. All the grapes are harvested by hand and the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks before bottling the following spring. In the glass it shows a fine and persistent mousse with notes of white peach, apricot and melon. A classic Italian aperitif, this Prosecco also pairs well with shellfish including lobster, crab and scallops. Please note we are in the process of refreshing some of the labels across our wine and spirits collection, so your bottle might look different to the one pictured.
