Located in the heart of Victorias beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Paringa Estate was founded in 1984 by Lindsay McCall when he purchased a derelict orchard. The first vintage was in 1988 with just three tonnes of fruit but the reputation rose quickly and today Paringa Estate is one of the most highly awarded boutique wineries in Australia. Grown in three vineyards in the Mornington Peninsula, the Pinot Noir vines are aged between 15 and 22 years and the soil on all three vineyards is a deep red volcanic clay, allowing dry land growth, without irrigation. Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, the resulting wine is a breath-taking Pinot Noir with extraordinary texture, elegance and poise. Complex and lifted aromas of raspberries, red cherries and spicy savoury characters lead to a palate with spicy red fruit, fine tannins and an everlasting finish. Pairs perfectly with roast grouse or pheasant, it is also sublime with a white truffle risotto. 14.5% ABV Please note that it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you are under the age of 18.
