Set within the Classic sub zone of Valpolicella, in the village of Marano Della Valpolicella, Piepaolo Antolini has farmed his 7.5 hectares since 1992, all of which are planted with Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara. The wine is rich and intense, with a compact nose of dark fruit, berries, chocolate, dried flowers and some minty herbs. It has a soft, yet powerful body, velvety and deep taste. Warm, wide and generous with extra layers of flavour, recalling baked dark cherries, plums, cassis, a gentle round tannins, balanced with a lively acidity and chalky back bone. Pairs perfectly with red meats, such as lamb and beef, venison, duck and robust dishes with intense flavour and richness. It also serves as a good accompaniment to aged, pungent cheeses. 14% ABV
