One of the pioneers of the Modern Greek wine revolution, Gaia Estate was established in 1994 and operates two different wineries making cutting edge wines in both Nemea and Santorini. Agiorgitiko is a fragrant wine grape native to Greece's Peloponnese peninsula. The grapes come from vines grown in a vineyard 800-1040m above sea level in the Asprokambos area of the Nemea PDO. After harvest, the grapes are cooled then destemmed, crushed and cold soaked for four to six hours. It is then pressed with only the free-run and first press juice being used. After fermentation, the wine is gently fined, cold-stabilised and lightly filtered before bottling. An appealing and vivid rosé with an intense and aromatic profile, Agiorgitiko hovers between delicate floral notes of rose petals and fruity flavours of pomegranate and strawberry. Vibrantly fresh with a beautifully refreshing finish, it is the perfect aperitif wine, but also paired with light summer dishes or fragrant Asian cuisine. 13% ABV Please note it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you are under the age of 18.
