Malbec has become an iconic Argentinean wine but this grape actually originates in France, which is where winemaker Stephen Huse studied oenology and worked for iconic Bordeaux estates such as Châteaux Margaux and Mouton-Rothschild. This wine combines French style finesse and Argentinean weight as San Juan's Malbec is less concentrated than Mendoza's. However we think it offers additional interest as it is borne of a far more balanced climate due to the 300+ days of sunshine that the vines get every year.
