The vineyards of the Wilhelm Walch estate lie in the heart of the Alto Adige wine region in Tramin and Caldaro. They extend along the Mendola ridge, at altitudes between 250m to 700m above sea level, largely on extremely steep locations; a fact that shows in the fresh, precise fruit of the wines. The soil is characterized by Dolomite rock and consists, for the most part, of calciferous, but also sandy and loamy soils. This bottling of Pinot Noir fermented in stainless steel at 26°C (78.8°F), followed by aging in large Slavonian oak casks.
