Located in the area of the La Clape massif, Chateau La Negly extends over approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, to which 25 hectares of Domaine de Boede were added in 2006. The estate is owned by the Paux-Rosset family who purchased it in the early 1990s and then renovated it with the help of oenologist Claude Gros, with the aim of focusing on the production of quality wines.
The vineyards, replanted mainly with Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre, enjoy very favorable soil and climate conditions for viticulture also thanks to the proximity of the sea.
The wine is a blend of Roussanne, Bourboulenc, and Rolle grapes grown on clay-limestone soils.
La Clape Brise Marine Blanc is a fresh and drinkable wine with a clear and bright color and straw-yellow tones. On the nose, it reveals a youthful aromatic profile with delicate floral notes of jasmine and fruity aromas of citrus and yellow fruit. On the palate, it is soft and well-balanced with a pleasant acidic vein. It has a light-medium body and a long and distinctive finish. It is a wine to drink young to fully enjoy its aromatic character and fruity freshness. It is excellent as an aperitif and with grilled fish or tuna tartare.
