Located in the small town of Ludes, in the heart of the Reims Mountain Natural Park, the Maison Canard-Duchêne was founded by Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne in 1868. In this area, one of the most prestigious in Champagne, the vines benefit from a unique terroir, known worldwide for its enormous value, with soils made of chalk, clay, sand, and limestone.
The Cuvée Charles VII was created on the occasion of the centenary of the Maison Canard-Duchene to reflect the incredible and unique history of the Champagne region. Even the bottle is characterized by an exclusive design that underlines the exceptional nature of the grapes used for this special wine, coming from Grand and Premier Crus vineyards in the territories of Aÿ, Vertuse, and Verzy. The wine is aged in the cellar for a minimum of 4 years.
The Champagne Cuvée Charles VII has a splendid bright yellow color, enlivened by a beautiful effervescence. The nose reveals aromas of white flowers and fresh fruit with some mineral notes. On the palate, it has a good structure, especially thanks to the contribution of Pinot Noir in the blend. It is elegant, complex, and fresh. The finish is vibrant and recalls invigorating citrus notes. Perfect for a classy aperitif, with a rustic vegetarian artichoke cake, or with eggs with truffles.
