Wine Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona - This wine is 100% Sangiovese from a hillside that is between 150 and 400 m above sea level and has a south-westerly exposure. The wine is aged in wooden barrels (bulk containers) so as not to mark the wines too much and in French oak barrels. The result is fascinating: black fruit, violets and wild flowers characterise this intense and almost perfect nose. The palate is beautifully balanced, the tannins responding to the bright and palatable freshness. The airy finish is pure and highly accurate. This is a Brunello di Montalcino to taste now or keep!
