Using white and red grapes in the same wine may seem like madness, but has to be one of the most famous blends - Shiraz Viognier. Steve is very much a fan and this is his take. The Shiraz comes from a windswept site along the Willunga escarpment and the Viognier, in which only the skins were used, just a tad east down the road. It's beautiful to look at, the aromatics are lifted and spicy, while the palate is silky and indulgent as it should be. Give this wine a few more years to see it at its best!
