Provence Wine Makers Chardonnay 2017, "Creation No.8", France - only 24 Bottles remain!
This is a lovely elegant unoaked Chardonnay from Benjamin Mei’s vineyards in the Luberon and Provence.
Benjamin has been making wine in Chile, but since his return home to run his family’s vineyards, he has made quite a reputation for himself, supplying many Michelin Starred restaurants.
His is a gastronomes perfect house white. Elegant, bright wine with a gentle aroma of white peach and citrus.

The Tagua Tagua Merlot is a soft fruity easy drinking red. Nicely made with lots of ripe dark cherry and red plum flavours. Soft tannins and a nice freshness make this another “quaffer”.

Domain de L’Ile Margaux 2016, France - only 48 Bottles remain!
An exciting top wine from Bordeaux is our Domain de L’Ile Margaux 2016.
This claret is fascinating, and historic. From the island in the middle of the Gironde Estuary opposite the First Growth Château Margaux, was at the end of the 18th. century a part of Château Margaux.
After the phylloxera mite killed off most of Europe’s vineyards in the early 1900s by attacking the roots, the island was not replanted till fifteen years ago. Even more exciting is that some of the original ancient vine clones were found on the Island and have been repropagated.
This wine doesn’t pretend to be Château Margaux, but after fifteen years it is now showing Margaux typicity, and great potential. The 2016 is the first vintage we have shipped, and is still young. I recommend an hour’s decanting to allow the wine to demonstrate its charm, elegance and potential.

Monthelie Blanc Sous Le Cellier 2018, France - only 96 Bottles remain!
Top class white Burgundy at great value as the tiny Appellation of Monthelie which sits between Puligny Montrachet and Volnay, is less know than its neighbours.
Florent Garaudet is a passionate young winemaker who having trained around the world returned to take over his family Estates.
They have some of the best vineyards in Monthelie, both Premier and Village wines. This white sits right in the centre as the name suggests, just on the slopes below the family cellars.
It is classically made and matured in a mix of old and new oak. The aromas are of ripe white peach and white flowers, a hint of freshly baked brioche, and a touch of vanillin.
The wine is bright and opens up in the glass after ten minutes, actually best decanted to bring out its full potential.
It is a beautifully balanced, classy wine. Not a huge powerful monster, but an elegant young lady.
